FastMCP is an open-source Python framework for building MCP servers and clients by decorating functions, handling deployment, auth, proxying, and OpenAPI generation. It targets Python developers building AI-agent tooling. Its differentiator is being a standalone toolkit that extends beyond the core MCP spec and powers a large share of MCP servers.
